Enjoy these resources to learn and be inspired!
What are the Great Plains?
It’s a broad expanse of prairie and steppe that lie east of the Rocky Mountains in the United States and Canada. The area covers parts of the U.S. states of Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
However, there is much more to it than just flat land. We hope you find the following links educational as well as inspiring you to visit and explore the plains as source material for artistic expression.
